Bassbot Soundsystem

bassbotsoundsystemBassbot is a Sound System that supports and strives to keep the electronic movement as progressive as it can be. Since 2003 Bassbot Sound System has been dedicated to nurturing sub-culture, providing a stage for up and coming artists and connecting peoples through music.

Inspired by the New York City rave scene of the 90’s, Bassbot came about as a Junglist Sound Crew based out of Queens, New York. Composed of Music Producers, DJ’s, Artists and Community Activists, Our crew gained recognition for hosting various events like Revolution Junglist; a Jungle, Breakcore, Ragga Jungle weekly at Castle Heights in Jackson Heights Queens, Press Play; a series of Jungle, Drum & Bass parties at the Karma Hooka Lounge in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Sound Unity Project; a three day camp out in the Adirondack Mountains of New York and Strictly Jungle; a Jungle, Drum & Bass weekly in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

From 2003 to 2005 some of our crew migrated out West. The Bot rig itself began traveling cross country on the infamous Bass Bus v1.0 (a waste vegetable oil powered diesel N.Y.C. School Bus) in 2005. Throwing free parties we’ve managed to network with local artist collectives and sound crews through out the U.S. recruiting members and making the Bay Area of San Francisco our second home.

From 2005 to 2009 the Bot landed in Portland O.R. to host amongst many events a series of outlaw parties at the Last Thursday Art Walk. Bassbot, Reactionary PDX, Pan Zen & Low Viz we’re essential elements in breeding a dominant Free Tekno / Breakcore scene in the Northwest.

From 2009 to 2012 the Bot landed in Atlanta G.A. teaming up with crews Atlanta Dubstep and The Horrible Children to host a series of events. Using Atlanta as a launch pad for our South America Adventure.

Late 2012 the Bot landed in the Inka Capital of Qosco to host Inca-tek 2012 Ecosystem Festival. An Autonomous World Gathering which took place in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Pisac, Cusco, Peru during the galactic alignment.

Currently the Bot has taken refuse in South America. Where the vibes are fresh and the electronic music scene is up and coming. The Bot is setting up camp in the White City of Arequipa, Peru where it is to breed the next generation of Bassbot Resident DJ’s, Producers and Community Activists. Networking our collective globally as we take South America by storm.
